The Highway Code – seat belts.
The new Highway Code obliges the passenger to wear seat belts on the moving vehicle. The fine is quantified between €68.00 and €275.00, and there is also the deduction of No. 5 points from the offender’s driving license, if he or she is of age. In the case of transporting minors, the responsibility for them lies with the group leader or contact person.

Baggage
One carry-on baggage is allowed on the vehicle, which must comply with the following dimensions: 30cm x 10cm x 10cm (Art.164 paragraph 1.) Fine in case of transgression quantified between €68.00 and €275.00. There is also a deduction of 3 points from the driver’s license.

Regulation of bus travel abroad.
It is permitted to travel by bus in EEC countries with only an identity card, which is valid for foreign travel. Outside the EEC, however, the rules of the country over which you are transiting must be followed.

Driving and rest times for drivers and vehicles
Driving times for drivers: the driver’s ‘driving hours, scheduled daily are 9. They may possibly go up to 10, but not more than twice a week. Driver rest hours: after 4 1/2 hours of driving, the driver must take a break of at least 45 minutes. This can be divided into 2 breaks of 15 and 30 minutes. After the scheduled driving time for the day is over, the driver must have a rest period of at least 11 hours, which may be reduced to 9, provided it is then made up.
In case of transgression of the above rules, there are administrative penalties and deduction of points from the license. In case of non-compliance with these regulations by the driver, replacement would also be necessary by summoning a second driver.
